1. If an earlier version of the Sametime Connect client isinstalled, exit it and drag it to the Trash before installing the newer version.
2. Download the client installation package.
3. Navigate to the MacOSX directory in the downloaded image.
4. Double-click sametime-connect.mpkg to begin the installation.
5. Enter the required information when prompted.

   By default, the Connect client is installed in the Applications folder on Mac HD.

1. If the Sametime Connect client is running, shut it down before attempting to install thenewer version.
2. Important: Make a back-up copy of the directory where the earlier version of the client isinstalled, in case you need to revert to it.
3. Download the client installation kit.
4. Navigate to the root of the downloaded installation kit.
5. Start the installation process by completing one of the following steps:
   • If you are using the setup.exe file, double-clicksetup.exe to begin the installation.
   • If you are using the .msi file, enter the followingcommand:

     msiexec /i setup.msi /Lv install.log

6. Enter the required information when prompted.
7. When the installation completes, start the Sametime Connect client; by default SametimeConnect is installed to C:Program Files (x86)IBMSametime Connect.
